We are looking to fill a full time role for an Account Manager in our Independent Business Division. If selected, you will be part of a dynamic team, effectively handling a commercial book of business while working on a fun and collaborative team and under the direct supervision of the Commercial Independent Business Manager. Key Job Responsibilities

  • Handle day to day client servicing requirements and provide marketing support

  • Responsible for accuracy of policy documents and timely delivery of renewals

  • Keep up to date with markets and coverages within the industry

  • Analyze client coverage, exposures and loss experience to determine risk requirements

  • Review of wordings and conduct wording comparisons

  • Participate in large account or stewardship reviews

  • Work with the producers on cross selling opportunities

  • Adherence to AJG's internal compliance

  • Participate in networking events

  • Assist with marketing of accounts

Skills and Qualifications

  • License(s) essential to provincial licensing jurisdictions as required for the position along with management of continuing education hours to ensure licensing compliance

  • Five (5) years commercial insurance experience

  • Willingness & acceptance to learning on a continual basis through educational opportunities and collaboration with colleagues

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner both verbally and in writing

  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills

  • Proven proficiency in MS office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Adobe products

  • Familiar with insurance document management software

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all areas of work

  • Ability to multi‐task between a variety of tasks, projects, and deadlines

  • Possess proficient commercial lines knowledge

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and /or within a team is essential

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Completion of post-secondary an asset

  • Insurance designations and/or courses completed towards designations an asset

  • Experience within the EPIC Broker Management System (BMS) an asset

  • Ability to multi-task between a variety of tasks, projects, and deadlines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products

  • Experience with EPIC an asset
