We are looking to hire for the full time position of Client Service Broker (CSB) role within the Independent Business Department (IBD) at the Scurfield Office. in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Job Profile

Client Service Broker – IBD is responsible for maintaining strong working relationships with clients attached to an assigned book of business, as well as developing and maintaining strong relationships with the insurers. Client Service Broker – IBD will act as a liaison between the client and the insurers. Client Service Broker – IBD is to review all accounts upon renewal and take the appropriate steps to place coverage required for the client, as well as keeping the insurer and the client well informed of any changes effecting insurance coverage. Client Service Broker – IBD must work effectively with all members of the insurance team to obtain a clear understanding of our client’s insurance needs.

Client Service Broker as primary responsibility. Has retention goals. Responsible for the day-to-day account management for routine/moderately complex client accounts. Manages an assigned book of business and builds, expands, and solidifies relationships with existing clients. Leads appropriate resources to address the client's risk needs. Secures existing business and drives the sale of additional services and coverage levels. Cultivates relationships with the most senior buyer in the client organization as well as with day-to-day client representatives and buyers. Has retention goals for assigned group of accounts. May coordinate the work of administrative support and customer service.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Graduate

  • Minimum of 3 (three) years Commercial Lines experience

  • Demonstrated Proficiency in MS products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Adobe products

  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close sales

  • Demonstrated marketing expertise and knowledge

  • Applicants should possess a minimum CAIB 3 ICM license or equivalent education

  • Must hold a minimum Level 2 license from Insurance Council Of Manitoba or be able to transfer their non-resident license within 30 days of start date

  • Willingness to learn on a continual basis and continue with education when opportunities arise

  • Excellent phone skills and the ability to build rapport with clients quickly

  • Strong process management skills that ensure consistent quality of service delivery

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner both verbally & writing

  • Well-spoken individuals with ability to professionally present ideas and concepts verbally and visually

  • Obtain and maintain Provincial Insurance Licensing across Canada as required and requested

  • Preference will be given to those applicants with a University Degree, Sales and Marketing or Business Admin Diploma

  • Preference will be given to applicants with a CRM or CAIB designation or acceptable combination of education and experience

  • Demonstrated marketing skills

  • Preference will be given to applicants who are able to demonstrate ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer appropriate options, solutions and resolutions as required

  • Preference will be given to individuals with a minimum of 2 years of direct work experience in commercial insurance marketing, account servicing and sales or combination of
