We are looking to fill the position of Management Liability Broker (MLB) within our energy insurance team. The primary responsibility in the role of MLB is to work with Account Executives on assigned accounts providing exceptional internal and external customer service. Key Job Responsibilities
Research information to enable strategic decision making for the client
Prepare and deliver high quality presentations and proposals tailored to each client
Effectively manage and maintain client portfolio as required
Actively prospect for and develop new business opportunities
Work with internal teams, colleagues, and managers to develop creative solutions and integrated sales programs for clients
Respond to queries and follow up on all client calls and e-mails
Update and maintain all account history and activity reports
Prepare weekly or monthly sales status reports
Attend industry events
Review of documentation for routine policy changes, additions, deletions, renewals or cancellations
Communicate directly with underwriters and account teams to follow-up or obtain additional information per best practice and standards
Prepare client service summaries, program reports and client survey information
Coordinate all client/insurer follow-up
Manage, organize and update relevant data using database applications
Communicate with insurers as required to support the broking function
File creation and organization of client documentation
Insurance program marketing, negotiation and placement where required
Develop relationships with insurer partners and corporate clients
Develop in-depth knowledge of various insurer policy wordings across MLP products including D&O, Crime, Cyber, E&O, among others
Perform other duties as required
Key Skills and Qualifications
License(s) essential to provincial licensing jurisdictions as required for the position along with management of continuing education hours to ensure licensing compliance
Five (5) years insurance experience broking or underwriting D&O, EPL, Crime and Cyber insurance
Must be able to present terms and explain coverage to clients
Willingness & acceptance to learning on a continual basis through educational opportunities and collaboration with colleagues
Will be expected to act as an internal resource
Proven ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner both verbally and in writing
Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
Proven proficiency in MS office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Adobe products
Familiar with insurance document management software
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all areas of work
Ability to multi‐task between a variety of tasks, projects, and deadlines
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and /or within a team is essential
Excellent customer service skills
Completion of post-secondary an asset
Insurance designations and/or courses completed towards designations an asset
Experience within the EPIC Broker Management System (BMS) an asset
