We are currently recruiting for the full time position of Marketing Broker within the Commercial department at our Jack Blick Office location in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Under the supervision of the Commercial Office Manager, the Marketing Broker will be responsible for a wide range of duties in relation to the marketing of commercial business within the company and various projects as assigned. This will include the full review and marketing of all commercial business as required, including submissions of new accounts, renewal accounts as well as policy change requirements. The marketing broker will need to be familiar with the risk appetites of various insurers as well as having a comprehensive understanding of the coverage and wordings offered by various insurers. The Marketing Broker will be extensively involved in negotiating the most favourable coverage and premium terms for our clients as well as providing suggestions and recommendations on coverage options to both the Producer and Account Representative (CSR). This individual will serve as the subject matter expert in all marketing related activities to other members of the sales and marketing team with respect to insurer appetites, insurer capabilities as well as recommending coverage considerations. This individual will also be responsible for providing technical training and advice to the commercial sales and service team.
Minimum High School Graduate
Minimum of 5 (five) years commercial lines experience
Demonstrated Proficiency in MS products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Adobe products
Demonstrated marketing expertise and knowledge
Applicants should possess a minimum CIP and/or CAIB IV Designation
Must hold a minimum Level 2 license from Insurance Council Of Manitoba or be able to transfer their non-resident license within 30 days of start date
Continuing education is a requirement with a minimum of 8 continuing education hours per licensing year
Willingness to learn on a continual basis and continue with education when opportunities arise
Ability to build and sustain strong relationships with key business partners, including insurers, account executives and account managers
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner both verbally and in writing
Well-spoken individuals with ability to professionally present ideas and concepts verbally and visually
Ability to work independently and within a team environment with a strong cohesive approach
